DAY SATURDAY

THE CITY OF SAVAGE: SERVING TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR WORLD BETTER
APRIL 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
SERVICE FAIR AT CITY HALL: Come to Savage City Hall
(6000 McColl Drive) and travel around the city campus to participate in a
variety of organized projects. Examples include repacking bulk bags of rice
for a local food shelf, making fl eece dog toys and blankets for an animal
shelter, and so many more! Come for an hour, or stay all day. There will be
activities for all ages.
DONATE ITEMS: Non-profi ts will be at Service Day that can use your
donations to help others. Bring these needed items to the event or between
April 15 – 22 to City Hall or the library:
• used shoes – any size or type
• children’s books & toys – gently used
• non-perishable food
• brown paper grocery bags
• coins and bills - every $50 will purchase a goat to provide sustainable income
COMPLETE YOUR OWN PROJECT: Residents, businesses,
or organizations are encouraged to host a donation drive for items we are
collecting at Service Day. Other ways to participate include attending the
Community Park clean up event or donating blood on Service Day at City Hall
through the Red Cross.
DON’T FORGET! Everyone who comes
to Service Day Saturday will receive a commemorative
wristband to wear around
town. Those wearing the wristbands will
receive special deals at participating businesses
throughout the weekend. For instance,
wristbands give you free admission
into Lifetime Fitness in Savage on
Saturday, April 22 or Sunday, April 23.

tables, lunch with fi refi ghters, icecream
sundaes, police cars, fi retrucks,
shuttle rides around the city
campus, art, face-painting, chair
massages, master gardeners, and
so much more!
